Staying near IMG Academy: a guide for visiting families and athletes
IMG Academy hosts camps, tournaments and showcases throughout the year, and families often need more than a hotel room. The Breezy Palm is a private home about 7 minutes from campus, built with athletes in mind.
Train and recover at home
The Breezy Palm has one of the only true home gyms in a local rental: a treadmill, bike, weight bench, 5 to 60 lb dumbbells, yoga mats and recovery equipment. A sauna and cold plunge sit right next to it for recovery between sessions.
Extra reps on the sports court
The backyard sports court is set up for pickleball and basketball, and there's a professionally designed putting green for downtime.
Room for teammates and families
The home sleeps up to 12 across 4 bedrooms, including a bunk room, and everything is on one level. It works well for two families sharing, or a parent traveling with a few athletes.
Fuel and laundry
A full kitchen makes meal prep easy, and the washer and dryer handle uniforms and gear between sessions.
Downtime nearby
Anna Maria Island's beaches are about 16 minutes away, and the heated pool and hot tub are right outside the door. The Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch is about 30 minutes away if your schedule takes you there too.
